Dr. Fariah Iram Gaba bagged Asia's Distinguished Researcher Award in Oral Disease, Aesthetic & Minimally Invasive Dentistry
Dr. Fariah Gaba is British and born in the UK. She studied Biomedical Sciences in the UK and went onto study Dentistry in Valencia.
Dr. Fariah Iram Gaba bagged Asia’s Distinguished Researcher Award in Oral Disease, Aesthetic & Minimally Invasive Dentistry. Dr. Gaba graduated both times with honours in the top 3% of her academic years in both countries. Dr. Gaba has received awards spanning from 2012-2022: 10 awards for academic excellence in Dentistry (“Matricula de Honour”), a Scholarship Grant Award to study and work at the Dental Hospital at Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, “El Premio Fin de la Carrera”-awarded to the top 1% of university undergraduate students for academic excellence in Dentistry bestowed upon the awardee by their university as dictated by The Ministry of Education in Spain.
In March 2021, Dr. Gaba was honored with the prestigious accolade of Top Cited Article Award 2020-2021 for her end of Dentistry degree dissertation in her university studies which was consequently published in The Journal of Oral Pathology & Medicine as a Special Edition article entitled: .”Salivary biomarkers and their efficacies as diagnostic tools for Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma: A Systematic review and Meta‐analysis”. At the end of 2022, Dr. Gaba has been honored with 2 international awards under the category of “Best Researcher” on the topics of Orthopaedic Medicine & Oncology & Cancer Research respectively, with the corresponding awards ceremonies due to take place in Berlin and Dubai (UAE) later in the year.
From 2016-2018 Dr. Gaba has participated in numerous international congresses giving oral and poster presentations on a variety of dentistry related topics, with further planned events in 2023. Dr. Gaba has been a member of The Royal College of Stomatologists in Valencia since 2018, is registered with the BIG, KRT and KNMT organisations for Dentists in Holland, and in January 2023 was personally invited to became an official member of the elite organisation “The Invisible Faculty” – an apolitical, non-profit organisation originating in Spain, consisting of an elite group of highly driven academicians whose sole purpose is to inspire, encourage and engage with young and talented individuals with the objective of supporting, nurturing and growing their talent to benefit society.
In November 2022, she published another article entitled: “The Role of Oral Fusobacterium nucleatum in Female Breast Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis” in The International Journal of Dentistry.
Dr. Gaba’s enthusiasm, commitment and passion for her vocation has inspired her to pursue a Master’s Degree in Aesthetic Dentistry at Kings’ College London (UK), alongside her work and research commitments. However, as dedicated to patient care as Dr. Gaba is, she also enjoys socialising and possesses a variety of diverse interests, ranging from cooking, travelling, art, cycling, tennis and swimming in order to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
