Dr. Luis Alejandro Galicia Luna since 1994 is full time Professor, in the graduate section of Chemical Engineering Department and in 1997 from scratch created the laboratory Applied Thermodynamics Laboratory for Supercritical Fluid Processes. Join the National Polytechnic Institute on September 1, 1980 (ESIA) and from 1990 to ESIQIE-IPN. From july 1979 to february 1994 he worked as a researcher at the Mexican Petroleum Institute. Dr. Galicia-Luna obtained his BS in Physics in 1980 from the Faculty of Sciences of the UNAM, his DEA in Chemical Engineering in September 1986 and PhD in Process Engineering in September 1990 from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Paris, France. Dr. Galicia-Luna was international guest as a lecture in USA, South Africa, Brazil and France. Member of international scientific committees and chair session of international conferences: AIChE, ICCT, EQUIFASE, PROSCIBA. Member of editorial boards of international journals: “Journal Chemical & Engineering Data (2013-2016)” and “Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics (2010-2023).” Member of board of directors of the International Association of Chemical Thermodynamics (IACT 2010-2023). Visiting professor as jury of doctoral exams of the: School of Mines de Paris, France, University of Delaware (USA), Aalto University School of Chemical Technology, (Finland), Department of Chemistry, University of North Bengal, (India) and the University of KwaZulu- Natal in South Africa. Reviewers member committees of more than 40 international journals. He has published more than 80 international publications and more than 200 papers presented at international conferences.
