Dr. H. C. Ananda Murthy, Ph.D., FRSC-UK, is currently working as Associate Professor at the department of Applied chemistry, Adama Science and Technology University, Ethiopia. He worked at various prestigious universities in India, Tanzania and Ethiopia for the last 25 years. He has taught various chemistry courses to UG, PG, and Ph.D. students of the universities. He has published over 160 articles in the journals of international repute (H-Index = 24). He has authored 8 books, 20 book chapters & 6 compendia. He is presently editing 2 books with Elsevier and Springer. He has carried out several projects and guided 16 UG students, 7 PG students and 3 PhD students. At present 6 PhD students are working under his supervision in the areas related to the synthesis of inorganic metal oxides based nanomaterials for the biomedical and environmental applications. He had successfully completed a research project granted by ASTU, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Ethiopia in the year 2021. He is currently involved in 3 projects granted by the Ministry of Education, Government of Ethiopia. Additionally, he is also a member of the International project sanctioned by Government of Malaysia via Multimedia University, Malaysia. He is a member of ISTE, IRI, ECSI, CSI, NESA (India), CSE (Ethiopia), ACS (USA) and newly elected member of International Council on Materials Education, University of North Texas-USA. He has been serving as a guest editor for Journal of nanomaterials-Hindawi, Evidence-based Complementary & Alternative Medicine-Hindawi, Environmental Science and Pollution Research-Springer, Frontiers in Food Science and Technology Journal and Micromachines (MDPI) journals. He is also serving as Editorial member of Frontiers in catalysis Journal, Annals of Applied Science Journal, Acta Scientific Applied Physics journal and CAM Research Progress Journal. He has received best paper presentation award, Certificate of Excellence for community service and Certificate of Excellence by Elsevier Researcher Academy.
