Hello, everyone. her name is Dr. J. Josephine Leno Jenita and She is delighted to be here as a faculty member in the field of pharmacy.
She is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics, College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, Karnataka. She has 23 years of teaching and 18 years of research experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics (M.Pharm) from Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Coimbatore, TN Dr MGR Medical University, Tamil Nadu, and a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, Telangana. She has done research on the design and evaluation of polysorbate 80-coated polymeric nanocarriers for antiretroviral drugs.
Throughout her academic journey, she has developed a passion for Colon-specific drug targeting areas of research interest. Her research focuses on the Design and development of Nanocarriers for anticancer drugs, brain targeting of antiepileptic drugs, and Floating drug delivery systems for anti-hyperlipidaemic drugs. She has been fortunate to publish several papers in reputable scientific journals and present her work at national and international conferences. She received the best presenter award at the Indian Pharmaceutical Association convention held at NIMHANS and APTI conference, Bangalore. She has been awarded the Indian Women Achiever Award 2022 from International Research Association, London, England, UK. She has successfully guided 35 PG M. Pharm students and currently supervising two Ph.D. students. She has published 40 plus research articles in different peer-reviewed national and international journals and presented 30 plus papers at various conferences. She has 4 Indian patents and 5 book chapters to her credit. She is a professional member of APTI, SPER, and ISPOR. She has presented invited talks and chaired scientific sessions. As a faculty member, she is committed to fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment for my students. She believes in the importance of a collaborative approach to education, where students actively participate in their learning and are encouraged to explore and critically analyze the ever-evolving field of pharmacy. She is excited to share her knowledge and expertise with you all, and she looks forward to engaging in meaningful discussions, and collaborations, and contributing to the advancement of pharmacy education and research.
