Prutha Kulkarni completed her BE from Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology, Pune,
in 2008, and ME in Microwave, from Pune Institute of Information Technology, Pune, in 2013. She
is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication, Vishwakarma
Institute of Information Technology, Pune. She will be presenting her defence for Doctorate degree
from Anna University, Chennai this month. She is Vice Chair, IEEE JCAME (Joint Chapter of
Antenna & Propagation society, Microwave Theory Techniques Society and EMI/EMC Society)
Pune Section.
She has coauthored three books in the area of wireless communications especially Optical
Networks, Microwave and Radar Engineering and Network Filters and Transmission Lines. Her
research interests include Circularly polarized antennas, Metamaterials and RF circuits and systems,
Internet of Things (IoT) and Electromagnetic Radiation Hazards. She has published in International
Journals like Elsevier, and conferences like IEEE. She is reviewer of conferences and journals from
IEEE. She has also published two Australian Patents. She is associated with projects from Tata
Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai. She has worked on Industry projects like
antenna matching solutions for Vibration Sensing Machine, Infinite Uptime India Pvt. Ltd and
Technova Solutions, Pune. She has industry experience as an Antenna Designer and Product
Developer, for Thiagarajar Telekom Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Madurai.
