Dr.J.Jeyachidra, MCA., Ph.D
Professor and Dean, Faculty of Computing Sciences and Engineering,
Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology, Thanjavur.
She has 8 years of research and 25 years of teaching experience. Her research interests are in
data mining, big data analytics and wireless sensor networks. She has attended 69 national
workshops, seminars and Faculty Development Program. She has published 23 papers in
International Journals and 7 papers in International Conferences and guided more than 108
PG projects. She has served in various responsible positions like Head of the Department,
Deputy Controller of Examinations, Deputy Director in Admissions, Member in Board of
Studies, Academic Council Member and Board of Management.
She has served on various academic and administrative committees like: convenor, coordinator in organizing workshops, seminars, question paper setter, Chief Superintendent for
Group-IV examinations and Chairman for Central Valuation. She has given career guidance
to UG students in various Art and Science Colleges in and around Thanjavur. Also,
organized 26 workshops, seminars and Faculty Development Programmes (FDP).
An active Life Member in Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Computer
Society of India (CSI). She served the society by giving computer training for about 350
people to the society like Treasury officers, Police officials, EB Employees, Judicial officers,
Self Help Groups and school children. She has received a fund from Indian Council of Social
Science Research for Multiple disability in the year 2019.
Received Best NSS Programme Officer Award from Anna University, Chennai; Best Teacher
Award, Commendation Award, Record Breaker Award for the Admission 2022-23 and also
received a Certificate of Appreciation for the remarkable service rendered.
Her proficiency in data science and programming language courses exemplifies knowledge
on different teaching strategies and techniques. At present she is holding the position as
