Pr Kasamba Ilunga Eric won the ISTRA 2024 prize under the title of INTERNATIONAL
BEST RESEARCHER AWARD for excellence in, "Microbiology"
Pr Kasamba Ilunga Eric holds a Master's and PhD in Microbiology from the Faculty of
Medicine of the University of Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo, after having
followed specialized courses at the University of Liège in Belgium and at the Nelson Mandela
School of Medicine in Durban, South Africa.
Pr Kasamba Ilunga Éric Professor and researcher at the University of Lubumbashi in the
Democratic Republic of Congo, where he works as a professor, specializing in Microbiology
and Molecular Biology. He is a Young Scientist Board Member of the Journal of Life
Research, Member of Society on liver disease in Africa and Lifetime Full Member of
International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS). Membership ID:

Pr Kasamba Ilunga Eric is a professor of the faculties and schools of health sciences of the
University of Lubumbashi, University of Likasi, University of Kolwezi (faculty of medicine
and school of public health) and the Higher Institute of Medical Techniques of Lubumbashi
and Kolwezi. He holds courses in general microbiology, clinical microbiology, food
microbiology, laboratory technique, zoonosis and one Heath, clinical biology, genetics,
quality assurance and molecular biology as well as biotechnology.
He is the author of several publications including articles, book chapters and books. Our
Passion is for microbiology especially in the field of antimicrobial resistance. In this field

Eric Kasamba Ilunga has extensive experience in the management and implementation of
clinical biology laboratories and is head of the laboratory department of the university clinics
of Lubumbashi in charge of quality assurance and is responsible for the molecular biology
unit of the same laboratory. Partner and trainer of PEPFAR, CDC, USAID in the care and
biological monitoring of patients with HIV / AIDS. TRACE trainer for the screening of recent
HIV / AIDS infections and Ambassador of GAFFI (Global Action For Fungal Infection).
