Amit Sengupta is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in core banking product implementation, product testing, maintenance, and payment processing. Currently, he manages a $10.8 million business portfolio and oversees a team of 120+ global reports.Amit has played a pivotal role in large-scale banking transformation initiatives, particularly in North America. He has been instrumental in driving transformation at major financial services firms, successfully going live with deposits, personal loans, student loans, and lines of credit. His expertise extends to core banking product implementation, payment system design, and customization to meet end-user requirements. He has led customer journey designs across various geographies, architected payment processors, and customer interfacing channels, including ATMs and POS systems.Amit’s strong project management skills are enhanced by his extensive field experience managing hybrid project systems. He possesses in-depth expertise in project planning and management, solution design and architecture, DevOps and SRE transformation, product consultation and customization, quality assurance, effort estimation, and resource management.
Prior to this experience as a Technical Delivery Leader, he was a Technical Architect Lead in North America responsible for providing RFP consulting, creating major technical differentiators, and anchors the deal/proposal preparation process. He has been leading the AIOps adoption function for Capgemini FS, conducting over 20 boot camps monthly with client EA and App Arch teams. He is responsible for designing EA strawman for event streaming, securing Architecture Review Board sign-off, presenting to CXOs for implementation funding, and scaling up the rollout across enterprises. Additionally, Amit leads the cloud transformation for tier 1 Banking and Insurance clients, partnering with Red Hat and orchestrated on OpenShift, aiming for High Service availability and optimized customer success. He has also been instrumental in leading the Enterprise Containerization Program, transitioning legacy monoliths to microservices using the CQRS pattern and enabling load-based orchestration to optimize operational costs. This role involved hiring the team on the ground, securing solution and implementation budget approval from key stakeholders, delivering the program, securing funding through invoicing, and realizing business value. Additionally, Amit also led management consulting pursuits for Tier 1 Capital Market clients, assessing their delivery portfolios and operating models, and devising cost-effective business models that transitioned them from Time and Material services to throughput-based responsible engagement model, delivering in a 3% reduction in overall inefficiency
