Dr. Vinay Singh Dagar is an accomplished academic, currently serving as a Guest Lecturer in
the Department of Zoology at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, University of Delhi, where he
actively contributes to both teaching and research in zoological sciences. He also holds the role
of Academic Counsellor for Indira Gandhi National Open University, providing guidance and
support to students in their academic pursuits. Dr. Dagar completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in
Zoology, with his Ph.D. awarded in February 2023. His doctoral research was centered on
“Studies on the Growth Regulatory Effects of Emamectin Benzoate on the Cotton Bollworm
Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner)”, addressing critical issues related to pest management and
sustainable agriculture.
Dr. Dagar’s academic achievements are underscored by his success in securing an All India
Rank of 161 in the UGC-JRF Life Science examination in December 2015, a testament to his
scholarly abilities. His teaching experience includes a tenure as Guest Lecturer at Acharya
Narendra Dev College in 2019, where he further honed his skills in educating and mentoring
students.
In addition to his teaching roles, Dr. Dagar has demonstrated a strong commitment to research,
with an impressive record of 12 research publications in peer-reviewed journals, 5 conference
presentations, and the contribution of an e-book chapter. His research spans various aspects of
zoology, with a particular focus on insect growth regulation and pest control mechanisms.
Beyond academia, Dr. Dagar has made noteworthy contributions to social causes, having
worked with HELPAGE INDIA, an organization dedicated to the welfare of the elderly. His
dedication to both his academic career and extracurricular pursuits is further highlighted by his
co-curricular achievements. In 2008, he secured 1st division in the prestigious All India
Awareness Competition convened by Jim Corbett. Additionally, he is a silver medalist in the

th District Taekwondo Championship, held in 2004.
