Khuloud Al Nachar from Damascus syria has won the prestigious International Best Researcher
Award under the Asia Research Awards for her innovative research titled "Effect of the solvent in
the extraction of Polyphenols from all parts of black Eggplant (Solanum melonga)" This
achievement is a testament to her exceptional contributions to the field of Industrial Pharmacy
and Pharmaceutical Technology A graduate of Damascus University’s Faculty of Pharmacy in
1987 Khuloud Al Nachar holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Pharmacy and is currently
pursuing her PhD in the same field She has been actively involved in academia as a lecturer at
Kalamoon University and Damascus University where she teaches Industrial Pharmacy
Pharmaceutical Technology and Pharmaceutics Khuloud’s academic and professional career is
marked by numerous milestones She has been invited to present her work at over thirty
international conferences including participated in Germany and the United Kingdom
conferences She has published seven scientific articles four of which were featured in
international journals while three were published locally in Syria Her innovative work has also
earned her several awards including the Rula Award as the title International Innovative
Researcher in Photochemistry in 2020 and the ISSN Award as the title Most Ambitious
Researcher Award in Industrial Pharmacy in 2020 Notably she holds a patent in 2020 for
developing a groundbreaking drug derived from eggplant designed to treat Leishmaniasis—a
significant contribution to global healthcare Beyond her research and teaching Khuloud Al
