Dr. Bushra Sumra is a dedicated medical doctor and clinical researcher with extensive experience in surgery, infectious diseases, and emergency medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Nairobi in 2017 and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Infectious Diseases at the University of London.

Currently, Dr. Sumra works at a clinical trials facility where she oversees study protocols, regulatory processes, and participant recruitment. She has previously served as a General Surgery Resident at the University of Nairobi and as a Medical Officer specializing in critical care at Kenyatta National Hospital.

Her research interests span a wide range of topics, including infectious diseases, mental health, autism, asthma, and antimicrobial resistance. Dr. Sumra has authored multiple publications, exploring subjects such as the health benefits of omega fatty acids, the connection between autism and ear infections, and the role of resilience in mothers of children with special needs.

Dr. Sumra’s contributions to healthcare and research have been recognized through numerous awards and honors, underscoring her commitment to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes.
