Dr. Rafeeya Shams has completed Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu, M.Tech in Food Technology (Food Process Engineering) from SHUATS Allahabad and B.Tech in Food Technology from Islamic University of Science and Technology, Kashmir, She has been awarded as SRF from Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi, she has qualified ICAR ASRB NET in Food Technology. She is currently working as Assistant Professor at Lovely Professional University, Punjab and has more than 100 publications in high impact journals including book chapters, review and research articles. Dr. Rafeeya Shams, a distinguished researcher and food technologist, has been honored with the prestigious IRC 2025 title under the “International Research Star Award” for excellence in Food Technology. She is a versatile researcher with a strong academic background and an unwavering passion for advancing food science. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Lovely Professional University, she possesses 2.6 years of teaching and research experience. Over the years, she has successfully supervised 9 postgraduate and 10 undergraduate students and is presently guiding 9 postgraduate and 1 Ph.D. student. Dr. Shams holds an M.Tech in Food Technology (Food Process Engineering) from SHUATS, Allahabad, and a B.Tech in Food Technology from IUST Kashmir. She completed her Ph.D. from SKUAST-Jammu, amassing an impressive research portfolio with 106 publications in high-impact journals, 6 published copyrights, and 2 granted patents. Her contributions to the field extend beyond academia, as she has also organized 2 conferences and actively participated in more than 10 national and international conferences. Demonstrating academic excellence throughout her journey, she secured first, second, and third positions in her Ph.D., M.Tech, and B.Tech programs, respectively. Additionally, she has qualified the ICAR ASRB-NET 2021 and was awarded the Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) by ICMR, New Delhi. Dr. Rafeeya Shams continues to make significant strides in the domain of food technology, inspiring young researchers and contributing to scientific advancements.
