Swapna Nadakuditi is a seasoned healthcare professional working as a Sr IT Business
System Analyst at Florida Blue with expertise in delivering healthcare solutions and
experience leading other domains. With a master’s in health informatics from
Jacksonville university and a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from
JNTU, Swapna became a subject matter expert in applied informatics, data sciences
and data analytics.
Swapna led many significant projects in Risk adjustment space in Florida Blue. As a
Data Consultant for Analytics team at Florida Blue, Swapna played a key role in
enhancing numerous operational business processes and advancing the Revenue
Program Management (RPM) analytics data transformation agenda. Her extensive
knowledge across various domain areas and support for multiple enterprise initiatives,
including provider outreach preferences, prospective member engagement, were crucial
in driving efficient and effective operations in both the ACA and Medicare sectors.
Swapna developed a natural language processing (NLP) engine during her master’s
program that extracted International Classification Codes (ICD10), as well as pertinent
unstructured clinical information and treatment plans, from Medicare patient medical
records. The complexity of this project highlighted her exceptional research, data
capture, and analysis skills, showcasing her unique ability to merge healthcare
knowledge with coding expertise and advanced machine learning and predictive
analytics. Her work significantly improved a labor-intensive, error-prone process,
leading to greater satisfaction and efficiency for her peers and management.
Before joining Florida Blue, Swapna served as a Technology Lead at Infosys, where she
played a pivotal role in delivering successful solutions across various domains, including
capital markets, banking, intermodal, and retail. Her relentless pursuit of knowledge and
significant contributions to healthcare research are evident in her numerous authored
works published in esteemed journals such as CARI and the Journal of Artificial
Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science (JAIMLD) to name a few.
Looking ahead, Swapna envisions a future where AI and ML technologies become
central to transforming healthcare delivery. She sees vast potential for AI, from the
widespread implementation of deep learning algorithms to the integration of AI into
wearable devices and IoT sensors. These advancements could enable real-time health
monitoring, early disease detection, and personalized treatment strategies. Additionally,
the rise of quantum computing offers the potential to accelerate complex computations
and simulations, potentially achieving unprecedented levels of efficiency and accuracy
in healthcare analytics.
