Dr. Mitesh Chakraborty is an Assistant Professor in Department of Physics, St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi, India. He is working in this department for more than 12 years in continuation.
He is born and raised in Ranchi. He did his basic education from schooling to under-graduate level in home town Ranchi. He was a gold-medalist in Bachelor of Science, Physics ( Honours) programme for the academic session 2002-05 from Ranchi University, Ranchi. He did his Masters in Physics from I.I.T. Roorkee, India. After qualifying for National Eligibility Test( NET) in physical sciences, he joined St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi in Department of Physics in the year 2010.
Further he pursued his doctoral research from I.I.T. ( I.S.M.) Dhanbad, India in the field of Nanomaterials and Spectroscopy.
He has published many research articles in international journals covering topics spinning -off from synthesis, characterization and zero-field splitting of ceramic materials. Presently he is actively involved in research to develop optical materials for anti-counterfeit applications, electronic displays and temperature sensing.
In conclusion, he would like to express his deepest gratitude to almighty, his parents, his Ph.D. guide Prof. Vineet Kumar Rai, his institution, his department and all who has played a role in helping him to achieve this award. This prize is a testament of the hard work, dedication and passion he has put on since the early days of doctoral registration.
