Dr. Nisha Ashifa is a Periodontist in a private clinic in Chennai. She holds her
Undergraduate degree in Dental Science from Chettinad Dental College and Research
Institute and her Postgraduate degree in Periodontology and Implantology from Rajah
Muthiah Dental College, Annamalai University. She was the Topper of the University in
Periodontology. Her areas of research are Periodontology, Implantology, Laser dentistry, Oral
Medicine, and Oral pathology. She was selected by the Indian Council of Medical Research
(ICMR) for a Short-Term Studentship (STS-2014) funded program. She was a Peer Judge in
the STAR Summit conducted at Saveetha Dental College in 2016. She was also awarded Best
Paper at the IV International World Dental and Oral Health Congress in 2019. She got several
awards for her papers at various conferences. She has also given a few guest lectures at dental
colleges. She has published various papers in indexed National and International journals.
She also serves as a peer reviewer in many reputed journals like the Journal of Immunology
Research (Hindawi).
