It is my great honor to introduce to you an exceptional individual whose journey is a testament to dedication, resilience, and excellence. Dr. Priyanka Siddanagoud Biradar, born in a rural area of Karnataka, pursued her education in Kannada medium and completed her pre-university education at V B Dabar PU College in Vijayapur. Despite her childhood dream of becoming a teacher, she followed her parents’ wishes and pursued a BAMS degree at SDMT’s Ayurvedic Medical College in Terdal, Karnataka.

During the second wave of COVID-19, Dr. Priyanka worked tirelessly as a COVID warrior in Bangalore while preparing for her PG entrance exams. Her hard work and determination paid off as she secured an MS seat at BLDEA’s AvS AMV in Vijayapur. Her thesis, which focused on evaluating the effect of Yavadi Kalka over Tiladi Kalka in managing non-healing traumatic ulcers, showcases her commitment to advancing Ayurvedic medicine.

Currently, Dr. Priyanka serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of PG Studies in Shalyatantra at SDMT’s Ayurvedic Medical College, Terdal. With six months of teaching experience and four years of practical experience, she has made significant contributions to the field. Her dedication has been recognized with the ISTRA Award for “The Excellent Researcher Award” and the Best Nobel Researcher Award 2024 from ISSN for her case report on the management of Dushtavrana through Ayurveda.

Dr. Priyanka has not only fulfilled her own dreams but also her parents’ aspirations. Her journey is truly inspiring, and we are privileged to honor her achievements today.
