Dr. Lata Gidwani received B.E. degree in electrical engineering from C.T.A.E. Udaipur in 2000, the M.E. degree from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur with Honours, India in 2002 and Ph.D degree from MNIT, Jaipur on topic “Wind energy Integration with Power Grid” in April 2012.She is working as Associate Proffesor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. She has vast teaching experience of 18 years and industrial experience of more than 4 years. She recently got award “Outstanding Woman Researcher in Renewable Energy” from Venus International Foundation (VIWA AWARDS 2023), Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India on 4 March 2023. Her research interests include renewable energy, power system, power electronics, artificial intelligence. Her research papers are published in reputed SCI Indexed International Journals and in various International reputed IEEE conferences
She has supervised Ph.D. and M.tech at RTU Kota. Three Ph.D are awarded successfully under her supervision

Twelve M.Tech are awarded successfully under her supervision on various topics from 2016 till date. She has four Ph.D scholars and three M.Tech scholars currently doing research work under her able guidance. She has been session chair and panelist in various IEEE and other conferences. She has delivered expert lectures in various FDP and workshops. She has organized various FDP, conferences, expert lecture and workshops. She is editor and reviewer of various journals. She is IEEE Member, Life Member ISTE, Life Member IJERIA. She is Co-PI of TEQIP III Sponsored project on Design and Prototype development of Intelligent Controls for matrix converter interfaced grid connected wind energy conversion system. She has coordinated many conferences and workshops. She is Panelist in IEEE Conference PEDES 2022 at MNIT Jaipur, 14-15 Dec., 2022. She chaired the session in IEEE Conference PEDES 2022 at MNIT Jaipur, 14-15 Dec., 2022. She is reviewer of various journals like Elseveir, Taylor and Francis, Inderscience etc. She has published 33 research papers in various SCI, Scopus, WOS journals.
